TRANSPORTATION
The Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) was established in December 1977, to cater for the commuting needs of the people. Bus services operate throughout the day, from 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. All day fare trips cost Rs 5.00. Aircon services are at Rs 10.00.

CAR HIRES
If you're a good driver, then renting a small car is by far the best way to explore the island and it's surprisingly affordable, especially when compared to the cost of a taxi. Just get a map and go. They drive on the left side of the road in the Seychelles but you'll quickly discover this is more of a suggestion than a rule. Drive carefully and take it slow as the roads are narrow. Our roads are extremely windy. There are a number of car hires in walking distance from us.
TAXIS
You can always find a taxi at one of the hotels near us. We advise if you have an emergency and need to get somewhere, you can walk across to The Coral Strand Hotel to get a taxi. Taxis in Seychelles can be expensive. The rate from Sables d'Or Luxury Apartments to town is around 200 rupees.
ISLAND HOPPING
As we are near the port and the airport it is extremely easy to island hop to the outer islands. From Beau Vallon it's a 15 minutes journey to the port and 30 minutes to the international airport.
CAT COCOS
Cat Cocos has been proudly carrying passengers between Mahe and Praslin since 2006. Their modern fleet of high-speed catamarans now operate daily services not only to Praslin but also between Mahe and La Digue. Online bookings can be made right up to 48 hours before departure. For last-minute ferry bookings, within 48 hours of departure. You can pay using your credit card or with your PayPal account through PayPal's secure online payment system.
The journey Mahe to Praslin is an hour and Praslin to La Digue is 15 minutes.
